Lizzie - cat mom
Ralph & Nelly

“Both cats were completely themselves while I was away—eating, sleeping, and demanding cuddles on schedule. Maple Run followed my notes, sent just the right amount of updates, and I never had to worry.”
Fiona - senior pup mom

How do you count nights and partial days?
Bookings are priced by the night, with each overnight stay covering approximately 24 hours. For example, if care begins at 10 AM on your arrival day, the booking includes care through about 10 AM on your final day.We allow a short grace period on your return day. If care is needed more than two hours beyond the agreed end time, an extended-care charge equal to 50% of your confirmed nightly rate may apply. Care extending more than six hours beyond the scheduled end time may be billed as an additional night. This applies to both standard and holiday bookings. We’ll confirm arrival and departure timing before your stay.
Do you charge extra for multiple pets or medications?
No, not by default. Normal meds and a few pets in the same household are included in your nightly rate. If care is unusually complex (many pets, multiple detailed medical routines), we’ll talk through it after the meet and greet and confirm a rate together.
Do you stay at the house the whole time?
Maple Run provides overnight, live-in care, so nights are spent in your home with your pets.We may leave for short periods to run errands, attend appointments, or care for our own animals nearby. Your pets will not be left alone for unusually long stretches unless we have discussed and agreed to a different routine in advance.
How often will I get updates?
We’ll decide that together before your trip. Some clients prefer a daily photo and quick update, while others are comfortable with a check-in every couple of days. We’ll agree on a communication schedule that helps you feel informed without keeping you tied to your phone.
What if my pet is shy, reactive, or has quirks?
That is exactly what the meet and greet is for. We’ll talk through anxiety, reactivity, guarding, routines, triggers, and anything else that may affect care. As long as everyone feels safe and the routine is manageable with clear instructions, we are happy to work with pets who need a little extra understanding.
Do we need to sign anything?
Yes. We use a short, plain-language service agreement along with written care instructions. These documents confirm routines, home-care expectations, emergency veterinary decisions, payment terms, and other important details before your booking begins.

• Check
• Venmo
• Online invoiceA 3% processing fee may be added to online or card payments.

We don’t just pet sit.
Instead, we stay in.
Maple Run provides in-home overnight pet sitting for dogs and cats throughout the Western Catskills.Based near Roxbury, we stay in your home while you’re away so your pets can remain in the space and routines they already know. We keep things calm, follow your care instructions, and send updates so you can enjoy your trip with less worry. From weekends away to short trips out of Margaretville, Stamford, Hobart, Grand Gorge, and nearby towns, the goal is simple: familiar care, dependable communication, and pets who feel at home.
Our Vision
To keep pets at home, one trip at a time.
Maple Run exists so more families in the Western Catskills can travel without worrying about their animals. We believe most pets do best in their own space, with their familiar routines, favorite places to rest, and the people they trust returning home to them. Our goal is to make dependable in-home care feel straightforward, personal, and easy to arrange.
Our Mission
In-home care built around routine, comfort, and trust.
Our mission is to provide thoughtful, dependable live-in pet care that feels personal rather than transactional. That means following detailed care instructions, communicating clearly, respecting each home, and building every stay around the routines that help pets feel secure. We also continue to support the Heart of the Catskills Humane Society as part of our commitment to animals in the local community.
From a favor for friends all the way to Maple Run.
Maple Run started the same way many good local services do: with friends asking, “Could you stay with our pets while we’re away?”After hearing how difficult it could be to find dependable in-home care in the Western Catskills, the answer kept being yes.Over time, those favors revealed a clear need. Families in and around Roxbury wanted someone who could stay overnight, keep routines steady, and feel comfortable with muddy paws, zoomies, medications, and detailed feeding instructions.Maple Run grew from that need: a small, flexible service built around real pets, familiar routines, and short trips away.

Still small, hands-on, but also dependable.
Maple Run is intentionally small. Right now, it is one primary sitter, one helper, a limited calendar, and only a handful of households at a time. That allows us to accept bookings only when we can show up fully, follow each pet’s routine closely, and provide more than a quick stop between other appointments. As Maple Run grows, the approach will stay the same: detailed care instructions, calm communication, dependable overnight care, and respect for every home we enter.
Meet the crew behind Maple Run.
When we’re not staying with other people’s pets, we’re hanging out with our own. They’re the unofficial test panel for every routine, treat, and cuddle schedule.

Baylor, Chief Couch Supervisor
Professional napper, expert snuggler, and first to remind us how important it is to keep the couch warm while you’re away.

Macaroni, Night Shift Manager
Most active after dark, ideal for testing late-night check-ins and lap time. Proof that a good sitter never minds a midnight purr.

Cheese, Quality Control (Snacks)
Takes treats very seriously. Makes sure all food routines are timed correctly and that nothing goes unappreciated.

Chessipa, Snack Intern (in training under Cheese)
Newest member of the Maple Run crew. Currently learning all snack protocols from Cheese, with enthusiasm that sometimes outruns accuracy. Very committed to treat breaks, morale boosting, and shadowing the senior Quality Control officer.
